Proximity to failure

“Train to challenge, not to destroy. Proximity to failure is a tool, not a destination.”

Dan John

This is where muscle growth (hypertrophy) and strength are forged. Some days, all you have is all you have, but on those days, effort has to be at its highest. Fatigue may blur the lines, but if your intention is deliberate and you’re pushing close to failure, you’re creating the stimulus needed to grow.

We talk about concepts like RIR or RPE, but at the end of the day, no coach can truly measure what you’ve got left in the tank. That’s on YOU. The body is incredibly adaptable, so don’t sell yourself short.

Move fast. Push limits. Break barriers. Keep moving forward.

Appreciate you for following along—hope something here resonates and sticks with you. Let’s work.
