Strength, in its most fundamental sense, is defined as the ability to exert force to overcome resistance. In the gym, this is quantified as force, measured in Newtons, which is the product of mass (m) and acceleration (a), as described by the formula: Force = Mass × Acceleration.
Power, on the other hand, takes this concept further. Often referred to as explosive strength, power is the ability to apply strength rapidly, emphasizing speed in muscle contractions. Effective power development requires generating force at high velocities, combining both strength and speed seamlessly.
To maximize power, a foundation of strength is non-negotiable. Strength serves as the prerequisite—an essential building block—allowing you to harness and convert that force into explosive movements. As strength increases, when programmed strategically, power naturally follows suit.
Weakness is a choice. Build strength deliberately and watch your power, performance, and potential soar.
